Happy spring!
The temperatures are getting warmer, the days are getting longer and brighter, and it’s officially acceptable to wear floral print everything (yay!). Today, I wanted to share an outfit idea that pairs a winter wardrobe piece with a fun spring piece to help you transition into the new season + share one of my favorite transitional wines to drink!
I don’t know about you, but this winter felt like it lasted forever, and I am so ready for some sunshine! In Los Angeles, it’s been around 60 – 65 degrees Fahrenheit over the last few weeks, so we’re somewhere in between winter coats and rosé.
For this in-between weather, I recommend pulling out your over the knee boots (OTK boots- get some here) and pairing them with your favorite spring dress and purse. I was so hesitant about this outfit before I put it on, but it’s honestly one of my favorite looks of the year! I love this combo because it allows you to bust out some of your spring favorites while staying warm and cozy…and it’s stylish and chic! Get my sizing details at the bottom of this post.
As for what’s in my glass, I recommend Pinot Noir! I’ve mentioned this many times, but Pinot Noir is my favorite grape varietal. These wines are medium to light bodied, fruity and pair with everything from pizza and fresh veggies to fish and dark chocolate. The luscious notes of raspberry, cherry, and vanilla make Pinot Noir THE most popular light-bodied red wine in the world.
It is a great transitional wine that will help bridge the gap between the heavier Cabernets and Zinfandels that keep you warm in the winter, and the light and bright rosés and Sauvignon Blancs to sip outside in the summer. If you’ve never had a Pinot Noir, try one from The Sonoma Coast, Oregon, or Santa Barbara- a personal fave is La Crema Pinot Noir, which I’m drinking in today’s post! Drink at room temperature or lightly chilled to get the best expression of the wine.
Transitioning Into Spring: What to Wear And Drink

Outfit details: Pink floral print shift dress (comes in 6 colors/prints) | Over the knee burgundy boots (Sold out- try these) | Rattan circle handbag | Beaded tassel earrings (similar) | Celine Havana Brown Kim Square Sunglasses
I’m wearing a size XL in the dress, and I recommend sizing up! It was a little snug in the arms, but the body of the dress is super roomy.
What are you wearing and drinking as we transition into spring? Can’t wait to hear from you!
Cheers,
