I recently visited the new LikeToKnow.It mural in Venice, and had a blast shooting this look in front of it! The mural, located at 228 Main Street in Venice, CA 90291, is beautiful, and the colors are so fun. If you’re in the LA area, I recommend going there to snap a pic while you can.
Moving on, I totally didn’t realize how sheer this top was until it arrived. I was a bit taken aback, but ended up loving it once I tried it on. If you would’ve asked me if I’d confidently wear an almost-totally-sheer top with no undershirt a few years ago, the answer would be a firm hell no.
Confidence is EVERYTHING. It really does make all the difference in how you look, how you’re perceived, and most importantly how you feel. People always tell me that I seem so confident, and I am, but it didn’t happen overnight. My journey to loving my body and feeling comfortable in my own skin has been a long one (and is a daily work in progress).

5 Things You Can Do To Start Feeling More Confident
1. Limit Negative Self-Talk
Negative self talk is something we all do, and it’s impact is huge.
We are our own worst critic, but we also need to be our biggest cheerleader! Replace your negative thoughts with positive ones, and live by this rule of thumb: if you wouldn’t say it to your bff, sister or mother, then you shouldn’t say it to yourself.
This is something I still struggle with, but simply being aware of negative thoughts is a good first step. Remember, you are what you think you are, so be POSITIVE!

2. Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
Have you ever found yourself comparing yourself to the people you see in your Instagram feed? Guilty.
Doing this will make and keep you miserable. We are all special in our own way, and we are all on a DIFFERENT journey. You also have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes in someone’s life. People typically only show their highlight reels, not their worst moments in life.
So instead of worrying about what other people are doing, or how great so-and-so looks, focus on yourself. Focus on YOUR own joy.
It’s totally normal to have fomo every once in a while, but just know that those feelings will pass. Don’t let them get the best of you.
3. Express Gratitude
When you compare yourself to other people, you focus on what you think you’re missing in life. Instead of complaining about first world problems and focusing on what you DON’T have, focus on what you do have.
Wake up every morning and think about 3 things you’re grateful for. This will change the way you think, and a positive mindset is essential.
The more grateful you are, the happier you’ll be. The happier you are, the more confident you’ll become.

4. Practice Self Care
Do something you love at least once a week no matter what. Period.
Paint your nails, go for a walk, have 30 minutes of alone time, cook a homemade meal from scratch, read your favorite book, put on a face mask. Whatever it is that makes you happy, make it a priority.
And NO- it’s not selfish, and you shouldn’t feel guilty.
Taking care of yourself will make you so much happier, and it’s way easier to be confident when you’re in a good place mentally!

5. Love and Respect Yourself
Last but not least, this one is non-negotiable for building your confidence.
Love yourself unconditionally.
No matter what size you currently wear, no matter how much you weigh, no matter how many mistakes you may have made…you still deserve love and respect.
This one is hard and will take time, but I promise you it’s worth it. Once you truly love yourself, your entire world will change.
