Long time no talk. If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, then you already know that in the last few months I have: started a new small business (Wine Style Shop), turned 30, got engaged, started a new job, and am now in the midst of planning a wedding. It’s been super chill, to say the least😂.
SO much has changed, and I’m doing my best to find moments of joy and be present! Because if this last year has taught me anything, it’s to live in the moment. The month of February was dark, cold and rainy, and it really has an effect on my mood. When I saw that it was 75 degrees and sunny outside last weekend, I got dressed up, grabbed a bottle of Cakebread Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay and threw myself a little picnic by the river!
I tried Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay for the first time 5 years ago, and it’s been one of my all-time favorites ever since! Cakebread is one of Napa Valley’s top-tier wineries, and all of their wines are SUCH a treat.
If you love a smooth, crisp, and fruity chardonnay that tastes beautiful with or without food, then this is the wine for you! It has the perfect amount of oak, with notes of vanilla, green apple, pear and citrus. I love drinking it with chicken, shellfish, seafood, grilled salads and cheese boards, but it also tastes absolutely perfect on it’s own.
In addition to their famous Chardonnay, Cakebread also produces Vine Hill Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Chardonnay Reserve, Napa Valley Merlot, and Two Creeks Vineyards Pinot Noir. I really hope you get to try one of them soon!
