“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”
Ha, I love that movie! Floral prints are my favorite year-round, but they really are so perfect for the spring time. Of the many floral masterpieces I own, this is by far one of my favorites.
This dress was in my wishlist for almost 5 months before I ended up hitting the buy button. I checked in on it frequently, waiting for an excuse that would help me justify purchasing a $92 dress (and hoping for a good sale). Then one day a wedding invitation arrived in my mailbox at that same time that there was a site-wide sale, and that’s basically fate!
I’ve talked about how to dress for a wedding in the past, and I firmly believe that it’s all about comfort and class. This one checked all of the boxes and then some!
I wore the Wondrous Water Lilies Black Floral maxi dress to a formal, outdoor wedding and styled it with black strappy sandals and my favorite Rebecca Minkoff black love bag (see photo here). It also looks really pretty with this bamboo clutch and pink heels for a more casual look. This dress made me feel so confident and was super flattering and flowy- perfect to get your groove on on the dance floor (just be careful with the high slit). It also comes in light blush, magenta floral print and navy.
I love a versatile piece (especially when it’s this pricey), and this one can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Lulu’s has so many great wedding guest outfits, and it’s one of my favorite places to shop for affordable dresses (read more about the best places to shop for cute and affordable clothing here). I’ve ordered a few dresses from here in the past, and this time I decided to order an XL. There is no zipper, the waist has a lot of stretch and the arms have no stretch, so I’d recommend ordering your normal size.
This wrap dress would be flattering on a diverse range of body types, which is another reason I love it so much! If you need a wedding guest outfit, I highly recommend this dress.
